Haunted Escape Room - Edition One - 2017

A group of kids, young and old, built a real escape room experience for kids in October 2017 for the East Bay Mini Maker Faire. It was called "We Build It You Escape It: Haunted Edition" and it was a blast!  Check out pictures on our project/blog page).  We're ready to design and build the next edition as a permanent escape experience inside the Maker Lab.  We need designers and builders to learn and help!

Haunted Escape Room - Edition Two - 2020

A new group of kids at the Maker Lab location on Mt. Diablo worked for weeks on an amazing interactive escape experience featuring: the abandoned train, giant computer, candy house, mad scientist lab, creepy restaurant and more!

The Time Machine and the Abandoned Science Lab - Edition Three - 2021

After debuting the Time Machine experience last spring, Miss Papini summer we devoted two weeks to building props and puzzles for a whole new adventure! Miss Papini tried to nudge the campers towards a cute them involving animals or physics or...But, no. The kids decided to build a forensic lab, crime scene and jail!

HALLOWEEN ESCAPE THEME 2021 WILL BE______________??!!!

This workshop will involve teams that include Maker Lab alumni from junior high and high school. Together we will plan, design, and build props to create an amazing Halloween experience to share with family and friends on the last day!  If enough interest Fridays may be added as well!

​

Registration:  $210 pp, ages first grade and older  (age 12+ Maker Lab alumni and friends come free, in exchange for helping out at the Lab)
